How to Make a Rock Bag in The Forest

The guide explains how to make a Rock Bag in The Forest

When it comes to survival in The Forest, being able to carry a lot of supplies is vital to your survival. One minute you’re building a wall, the next thing you know you’ve run out of rocks. I guess you should’ve made that Rock Bag earlier. Those extra rocks you’re able to carry are so useful you often don’t think about it until they’re all gone. This is how to make a Rock Bag in The Forest.

Why Make a Rock Bag?

The slingshot is a surprisingly useful tool in The Forest, not only does it kill birds and other animals, it can also kill cannibals with low health. But at the start of the game, you can only carry a few small rocks but with the addition of the Small Rock Bag to your inventory, you’ll be able to carry an additional 15 small rocks. For bigger projects like walls and traps which require rocks, the Rock Bag allows you to carry 5 more rocks. Both bags require minimal crafting resources and while they’re not necessary for you to complete the game they certainly help especially if you plan on making a base and gathering meat and feathers.

You’re a hunter-gatherer fighting for survival and to find your kidnapped son — if you’re trying to follow the story. The Forest is great at making you feel like John Rambo or Big Boss without the guns and 30 min cutscenes. Luckily, both bags need rope which you should know how to make already.

How to Make a Rock Bag

If you don’t know, to make rope, it’s 8 pieces of cloth combined.

  • The Small Rock Bag needs 1 Rope and 1 Rabbit Fur, that’s all. You could run after the rabbit and spear it or hit it with an axe or you could make a trap.
  • The Rock Bag requires 3 Rope, 1 Cloth and 1 Boar Skin. Boars are tough and they hit hard if they attack. The best thing is you get 2 pieces of meat when you kill one Boar. They make a lot of noise when traversing the land and squeal when charging at you.

And that is how to make a Rock Bag in The Forest.
