Players can unlock the other two islands by feeding the Pink Gordo and Cotton Gordo enough that they burst. The geyser beneath Pink Gordo is used to access Ember Valley. The cave beneath Cotton Gordo is used to access Starlight Strand. Players unlock both regions by feeding these Gordos with thirty pieces of food.
Luckily, we outline the locations of both Pink Gordo and Cotton Gordo in our complete Slime Rancher 2 Gordo Location Guide. So if you’re unsure where they are, go read that.
To feed Gordos in Slime Rancher 2, players must first check its diet. By getting close enough to a Gordo, it’s name and what it eats will appear in the top-middle of the screen. Collect roughly thirty pieces of these food items and walk next to the Gordo. Hit the Shoot button (Left Mouse Button or Right Trigger) to feed the Gordo.
How to Unlock Ember Valley
Players can unlock the Ember Valley zone by finding Pink Gordo, then feeding it thirty food items to make it explode. Luckily, Pink Gordo in particular has no food preferance, so feed him anything. Once destroyed, a water spout below him becomes available. Ember Valley is unlocked by using it to jump onto the cliff above, then interacting with the switch.
